And it came to pass that when Pharaoh did refuse Israel, the Moses and Aaron went unto Pharaoh, but he would not grant them audience;

Therefore, Moses went again unto YHVHa, pleading.

And YHVH said unto Moses: Say unto Aaron: Stretch out thy roda and smite the dust of the land, that it may become liceb throughout all the land of Egypt.

And Moses spake unto his brother, Aaron, and he did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and smote the dust of the earth; and it became lice upon the people and upon beast;

And all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

¶ And it came to pass that Pharaoh did learn of Aaron’s doing, and did call all his wisemena, and his sorcerersb, and his magiciansc;
7
And the magicians did make an attempt to do so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not, nor could they remove the lice;
8
And so there were lice upon the people and upon the beasts, save it were the Hebrews that did dwell in the land of Egypt.
9
Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh: This is the finger of Ha'Elohima; and the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them, even as YHVH had said.
