Chapter 4

1

And it came to pass that Seth (one who is appointed) and Azurah (beauty from the sky above) did bear many sons and daughters, and so it was that they did call the name of one of them Enos (אנוֹשׁ Enosh, “the man” or “a friend”);

2

¶ And so it was that many of the children of Elohim, or the Church of God, did begin to follow after the unknown elohim,

3

And joining with the sons of man, these did rebel against יהוה (YHVH) Elohim, and the pathway of the earth did become treacherous.

4

¶ And it came to pass that violence did break out between the children of Elohim, who Enos (a friend) and his wife, Naom (נעם, surpassing beauty) had caused to come together and the children of man.

5

And so it was that in the name of יהוה (YHVH), Enos (a friend) did cause the rains to come, even until the waters of the rivers did overflow and overwhelm them;

6

And so it was that a third part of the lands were consumed, and the children of Elohim were spared.

7

¶ And it came to pass that Ha’Yohtzar Ha’Or (היצר האור He Who did Fashion/Create the Light) did call upon Enos (a friend), he and his wife, Naom (נעם, surpassing beauty) also; and as one they did call the earth unto teshuvah.

8

¶ And it came to pass that the hearts of the children of man were hardened against יהוה (YHVH) Elohim and against the children of Elohim,

9

And they did pray to their gods made from the hands of man and they did seek for the blood of the children of Elohim and for the blood of one another.

10

¶ And it came to pass that Naom (surpassing beauty) did cause that the heavens should be shut up, and the rains stopped; and thus there was a great famine in all the land.

11

But in the lands where the children of Elohim did dwell, there were great wells with waters from deep within the earth;

12

And so it was that the herds of the children of Elohim and the fields of the children of Elohim were watered, and the people were spared.

13

But the children of man, these clung to the gods made from their hands, and they did continue to rebel against Ha’Elohim who did make them.

14

¶ And Naom (surpassing beauty) was so beautiful that only our mother, Sarah (שרה, queen or princess), and our mother, Rebekah (רבקה, she who does bind), could rival her beauty;

15

And her hair as thick and as black as a raven, longer than the arm of a man; her skin was almost as dark; her arms strong as a that of a bowman, and her legs strong as stone;

16

And her beauty as a testament of YHVH El Racham (יהוה אל רחוּם YHVH God of Loving-kindness), and so it was that she refused to wear a veil to cover her beauty.

17

¶ And so it was that in those days, the children of man did neither sow the earth, nor did they reap, for there was no food.

18

But the sons of man would not repent, and so it was that the earth would not give up her sustenance unto them, and the birds hid themselves, and the wild beasts did keep away.

19

And it came to pass that many died, and the strong took from the weak, and Ha’Elohim did weep for them.

20

¶ And so it was that Enos (a friend) and his wife, Naom (surpassing beauty), bore a son who was given the name Qeynan (Cainan קינן, he who dwells in the nest);

21

And Qeynan (he who dwells in the nest) was a wise man who was blessed in the understanding in all wisdom,

22

And with wisdom did Qeynan (nest dweller) pray over those possessed by familiar spirits and demons in HaShem YHVH (השם יהוה The Name YHVH), and their burdens were lifted from them.

23

And showing many signs and wonders, some of the sons of man were converted, and these did join with the children of Elohim, not by the sign but because the Breath of Elohim (Ruach Elohim) did awaken life into their souls.

24

¶ And it came to pass that Qeynan (nest dweller) did prophecy in the name of יהוה (YHVH) for he did read the stars, and they did tell him that should the children of men repent not, they would be swept off the face of the lands.

25

And Qeynan (nest dweller) did write upon tablets of stone, and after a time, he did put that which he wrote into the earth that they might be preserved.

26

¶ And so it was that Qeynan (nest dweller) and Melkah (God is my strength), his wife, bore five children, three sons and two daughters;

27

And his third son was named Mahalal’el (מהללאל, he praises God), and he did watch over his sister, Tzillah (צִלָּה, [God is my] refuge or [God is my] protection), and as one they did lead the children of Elohim.

28

But in those days, many of the children of Elohim did leave their numbers and join the sons of man;

29

For the children of Elohim had begun to put away the wives of their youth, putting them to the wayside, to take the wives from among the children of man.

30

And this did please the elohim of the children of man, but this did not please יהוה (YHVH) Elohim.

31

And so it was that יהוה (YHVH) Elohim did rise up Tzillah ([God is my] protection), the sister of Mahalal’el (מהללאל, he praises God), and she did cry teshuvah unto them.

32

¶ And it came to pass that those who did leave the children of Elohim did teach the children of man to dig in the earth for water,

33

And the children of man did wax strong, and they did become pleasing in the sight of the daughters of Elohim, insomuch that they too did wander off to be taken by the sons of man, for the daughters of Elohim were very desirable.

34

And so it was that the children of Elohim, or the Church of God, became few, and though the earth had become lush, Zion did not prosper.
